Super-Storm Sandy Update

By Bryan Finlayson

On Monday super-storm Sandy struck the Tri-State area, flooding entire communities and leaving thousands of New Jersey and New York residents without power. Despite these dangerous conditions, we are happy to announce that FileBank did not skip a beat. FileBank’s archive center is undamaged, its server stayed powered, and our clients’ records and information have remained safe and secure.

FileBank’s archive center was specially designed for extreme-weather conditions. The archive center includes various features for disaster-prevention such as:

·         A windowless exterior armored with concrete plating and able to withstand 125-mile-per-hour winds;
·         A complex drainage system that channels water into a 20-foot-deep underground silo, two catch basins, and overflow pipes leading to the Pompton River;
·         A super-level 45,000-square foot concrete floor inside the archive center with over three-inches of flood protection, ensuring that even 100,000 gallons of water spread out over the surface area of the archive center would not touch records on lower-level shelves;
·         An industrial-strength generator to ensure that FileBank’s servers stay powered for up to two weeks in the event of a power outage;
·         Steel vault doors to keep records safe;
·         A facility positioned on a hill far removed from rivers and lakes.

FileBank has invested nearly $1 million in disaster prevention and preparedness to ensure that our clients’ records and information are protected from extreme weather and flooding. That’s why FileBank prides itself in delivering safety, security, and peace of mind to clients despite any disruptive, unpredictable, and widespread disaster events.

Sincerely,

Greg Copeland

Dumont Diaries: Financial Department

The Financial Department has been organized and is ready for scanning to begin a paperless environment. They're on the way to saving! The Building Department has already integrated our system into their every day life.

In order to expedite the scanning process, documents are organized physically by our customers and then entered into our system by our highly-skilled staff. This allows our customers to most easily find their documents because the systems uses a vocabulary which they choose. We always want you to be able to find your documents as quickly and as easily as possible!
